Life Through My Lens

State College is my hometown but it’s more than just where I was born and raised—it’s where I discovered my love of photography, where I built my business, went to college, raised my family—it’s the inspiration for nearly all of my work.

To me, State College is a small town with a big personality. A place full of character, energy, creativity, and support for the arts. It’s also a place of continuous transition and I love telling the story of its ongoing transformation through my lens.

I’ve spent my career building a collection of images that capture rare, quiet moments that showcase the natural beauty of our area’s most beloved landmarks—including my series of historic Penn State elm photos, when the trees were in all their glory.

While many people pass through State College, the memories of their time here forever hold a special place in their hearts, and nothing makes me happier than connecting with them by sharing my vision of this amazing town.

I hope you enjoy the collection.

    Penn State Blue Band Photos

I’ve had the honor of taking the official Penn State Blue Band portraits for the past 15 years. There’s nothing quite like walking into Beaver Stadium on a beautiful autumn day and even when the seats are empty, the place has an energy buzzing within it. Then when the over 300-piece band enters, the fun really begins! We come up with creative photo ideas and I get to experience their amazing group dynamic—it is truly a unique and memorable time!

Under the direction of the talented Greg Drane, they continue to be recognized as one of the nation’s top college marching bands—energizing hundreds of thousands of people each year. Hail to the Lions and the Blue Band—WE ARE grateful for your talent, dedication and all you do for Penn State!
